I was the tallest in my age group, so automatically I was just put onto the court at the age of 8. Since then my love for netball grew more and more and I couldn’t see myself doing any other sport other than netball.
I was chosen in the A-team from age 14 till 17. We played in the Tuks Super 12 series, the Coca-Cola tournament as well as the National All Ages tournament. In 2012 I moved to Menlopark and was chosen to represent the first team where I was coached by Manny Ferrreira.
In 2013 I was selected to play for University of Pretoria 1st team but spent most of the time on the bench because I was still inexperienced and a youngster. I only played a few USSA games during that season.
In 2014 I started off in the Tuks U/21 A-team.Our national netball league also started this year and I was drafted into the Jaguars team (Pretoria based franchise). The First weekend of the national Brutal Fruit league, I made my debut. That Sunday evening I received a phone call from the director of selectors saying I was being pulled up into the Protea squad for Commonwealth Games. A dream come true and I made my debut for the Proteas in July 2014 against Scotland in Cape Town.
